My name is Sarah Doherty-Vaucheret, and I’m so excited to have the privilege to welcome everyone to RADMUN 2024 as Co-Secretary-General.
MUN has been a huge part of my life since starting in Rathdown as a little first year with very little confidence or public-speaking skills. I have come a long way since then and have made some lifelong friends along the way. One of the most remarkable features of MUN in Rathdown is the community it has created. Collaboration is the centre of our club. Experience is passed on from generation to generation, and we have built our own little family, which I am so proud to be a part of. It takes an army to bring RADMUN to all 300 delegates in attendance and I would like to thank every single person who has volunteered their time into the conference, working tirelessly behind the scenes.
As a final word of advice to new delegates, I would like to encourage you to take part as much as you can! I know how scary MUN seems at the start, but trust me when I say that all of us delegates and chairs are not as serious as we come off to be. Also try to get to know the delegates around you because you never know where a new best friend might be lurking!
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at RADMUN again this year and would like to wish everyone the best of luck!

My name is Sally Boland-Foy, and I as Co Secretary General along with Sarah am so honoured to welcome you all to RADMUN 2024.
Since first starting MUN in fourth year, it has become one of the main priorities in my school life. I immediately felt welcomed by the community, especially here in Rathdown, and can safely say I have made some lifelong friends through it. I am so proud to be part of this family and I am excited for what they will achieve next. The over 20 years of experience of MUN in this school, has been passed down from each generation of students to the next, and has built the heart of our community. It truly takes an army to bring RADMUN to life and I am so grateful to everyone who has volunteered their own time and has been working tirelessly behind the scenes.
Finally I would just like to give a word of advice to all the new delegates attending RADMUN for the first time. Please put yourself out there and take part as much as you can in the conference. I know it can be daunting at first but we honestly just want you all to enjoy yourselves and have fun. Get to know the people around you as well, it will make attending future conferences more enjoyable and they might even become some of your closest friends.
Best of luck to everyone attending RADMUN again this year, I can’t wait to see you all!
RADMUN Secretary-General 2024, Sally Boland-Foy
